German Shepherd Puppies – Working & Active Homes Preferred
We are expecting a litter of German Shepherd puppies from two much-loved working dogs.
Both parents are German Shepherds and hold NASDU Level 2 qualifications, with working experience. Outside of work, both have fantastic temperaments and are very loving, affectionate family dogs. They are confident, well-balanced and enjoy relaxing at home just as much as they enjoy getting out and working.
The Parents
Mum is a petite, short-coated sable German Shepherd. She has a lovely temperament and is an affectionate, loyal dog with a sensible approach to work.
Dad is a larger, longer-coated German Shepherd with a strong structure and a lovely nature. He is also trained and qualified to NASDU Level 2 and is a very loving dog outside of work.
Both parents are active working dogs but have excellent off-switches.
The Puppies
We are ideally looking for working or active pet homes where the puppies will have plenty of exercise, training, interaction and mental stimulation.
The majority of the puppies are expected to have low-to-medium drive, making them suitable for active pet homes as well as owners interested in security and working homes.
Every puppy will have their own individual personality, temperament and energy levels. We will therefore spend time getting to know each puppy before they leave us, helping prospective owners choose a puppy that is genuinely suited to their lifestyle.
Early Development & Socialisation
During their final few weeks with us, we will put a strong emphasis on building the puppies’ confidence and exposing them to a variety of different environments and experiences.
This will include age-appropriate exposure to different surroundings, sounds, surfaces, situations and everyday experiences, helping them develop into confident and adaptable young dogs.
Our aim is not simply to raise healthy puppies, but to give them the best possible start in life and prepare them for the transition into their new homes.
Vaccinations & Preparation
Puppies will be fully vaccinated before leaving us, and will receive appropriate care and preparation for going to their new families.
We will provide prospective owners with information about the puppy’s development, temperament and individual needs so that they can continue the work we have started.
Lifetime Support
We want to remain a point of contact for our puppies and their owners after they leave us.
We offer free obedience training and ongoing help and advice should your puppy or dog need support as they grow. Whether you need help with basic obedience, training, settling into your home or simply have a question about your dog’s behaviour, we are happy to help wherever we can.
For owners who are interested in progressing into bitework or other working-dog disciplines, we can also put you in touch with reputable trainers and companies across the UK and Europe, depending on your location and what you are looking to achieve with your dog.
Our priority is finding loving, responsible and suitable homes, rather than simply finding homes quickly. We are happy to have a conversation with prospective owners about their experience, lifestyle and what they are looking for from a German Shepherd.
These puppies will be raised with plenty of handling, interaction and exposure to normal household life, with their health, confidence and wellbeing being our priority.
