Every listing is reviewed by a real human being before it goes live. We check documentation, photos, and breeder credentials. We also use ID verification to confirm breeder identity. Listings that do not meet our standards are rejected.
If you breed three or more litters per year in England you are legally required to hold a breeder's licence. If you hold a licence, you can upload it during registration. We accept listings from responsible home breeders who breed fewer litters, provided they meet our welfare standards.
Trustap holds the buyer's deposit in escrow until both parties confirm the transaction. This protects breeders from fraudulent charge-backs and reassures buyers that their money is safe. Funds are released to you once the sale is confirmed. For more information, visit our blog post.
Buyers see your photos, litter details, health test certificates, pedigree information, your location, and any welfare badges your listing has earned. They can also see your verified breeder status and contact you directly through the platform.
Under Lucy's Law, puppies must be at least 8 weeks old before they can be sold or transferred to a new owner. We enforce this on all listings and will not publish adverts for puppies below this age.
