Russian Black Terrier puppies for Rescue in the UK
The Black Russian Terrier, often affectionately called "Chornyi Terrier" or "RBT", is a magnificent breed that hails from the former USSR. Created in the Red Star Kennel during the late 1940s and early 1950s, these formidable dogs were originally bred for military purposes. They're not true terriers, with their lineage comprising around seventeen different breeds, including the Giant Schnauzer and Rottweiler. Known also as the "Black Pearls of Russia", these dogs are sturdy and dependable, boasting a coarse, low-shedding black coat. Today, they serve proudly as working, guarding, and companion dogs worldwide, including right here in the UK.
