The Northern Inuit Dog, with its striking resemblance to a wolf, was developed in the UK in the 1980s with breeds like the Alaskan Malamute, German Shepherd, and Siberian Husky in its lineage. This elegant breed, sometimes confused with the Tamaskan or Utonagan, aims to capture the wild beauty of wolves while maintaining a friendly, companionable nature. They're known for their pack-oriented behaviour, making them loyal and affectionate family members. Interestingly, they do not contain wolf DNA despite their wolf-like appearance. A true testament to their charm, some Northern Inuit Dogs even played direwolves in the popular series *Game of Thrones*!
