PUPPIES’ BREEDING
Both Mum and Dad are much-loved family pets, and Dad's mother and sister are also here with us – so as part of your visit, you're welcome to meet the wider family too.
The puppies come from a diverse pedigree, with Samoyed lines originating from Russia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. On their father's side, the pedigree includes Kensesqui Blini by Saroxsha, Crufts Class Winner 2024 (Best Puppy), with numerous champion dogs appearing throughout.
Puppies come from a strong health-testing background on both sides. Both sets of grandparents have been tested across hip, eye and DNA health, with every result either clear or better than the breed average, and Dad himself also has a clear DNA test. We're happy to talk through the full picture, including certificates, during the enquiry process.
MEET THE PARENTS
Dad is a large, well-built Samoyed with bear-like features and a handsome face. He weighs around 25-30kg, with an exceptionally beautiful thick white coat, very long guard hairs, a long tail, and correct, strong black pigmentation around his nose and eyes. He comes from Russian and Hungarian lines, with a regal presence, yet maintains a very soft, playful nature. He's very much a typical Sammie – happy, playful, but extremely gentle.
Mum is a smaller Samoyed from UK show lines, and has a real soft bear face and strong pigmentation with black eyes and nose. She weighs around 18-20kg, and has a calm, happy and resilient character. She's bouncy, likes to play, and has her own little talking voice that says hello and tells you about her day when you come home, or back from another room in the house. She's incredibly sweet-natured, obedient, and simply a joy to be around.
Both Mum and Dad have excellent recall – not something that always comes naturally with this breed – and Mum is confident enough to be trusted off lead around horses. Both are also trusted implicitly with our cat.
HOME LIFE
Our dogs are deeply loved family pets and live inside the home with us at all times, sharing beds and sofas, and spend their days alongside me in my home office (the kitchen). They are never kennelled, and crates/beds placed in family rooms are left open to provide them with a safe space to relax, or chew a toy, but where they can come and go as they please.
They are fed a raw diet (BARF 80/10/10), with a wide variety of proteins including beef, chicken, guinea fowl, rabbit and wild boar, together with eggs, fresh whole sprats, raw meaty bones and a range of fruits, vegetables and superfoods such as blueberries, spinach, seaweed and kelp.
Based in the South East, they’re exercised on the South Downs, in groups and individually, socialised on equestrian livery yards, dog meet-ups, and attend puppy groups and regular training, including agility and sniffer dog classes.
FROM PREGNANCY TO PUPPYHOOD
During whelping and nursing, Mum has been provided with her own quiet area in the house (an upstairs bedroom) where she can relax and raise her puppies without disturbance. I sleep alongside Mum and puppies from whelping to six weeks and beyond, and provide round-the-clock care and supervision.
From birth, the puppies receive daily handling and have completed Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI). They're on a regular worming programme and are being weaned onto a premium raw diet (Paleo Ridge).
As they grow, they'll be introduced to a range of household sounds, surfaces and experiences to help them develop into confident, well-rounded companions. Toilet training has begun using indoor artificial grass mats/trays, and at just four weeks old, these babies are already using the grass when it's time to go. From around six weeks they'll start meeting our adult dogs – of varying ages and temperaments – as well as our resident cat.
WHAT THE PUPPIES ARE LIKE
Puppies are already showing plenty of personality. They’re playful and inquisitive, quick to come running over for attention, and happy to climb into a lap for a cuddle. They’re also comfortable being picked up and held, with a calm, settling presence that makes them genuinely lovely to simply sit with – sweet-natured right from the start.
Looks-wise, they're developing beautifully too. At just four weeks old, most already have full black pigmentation around the eyes and on the nose, with the rest close behind – it's unusually early to see colouring this strong and well-defined. Their coats are pure white, soft and fluffy, and their eyes are bright and clear.
