Our #1 focus at Countryways Gundogs is breeding for training and temperament - we are on hand to lend advice and ensure the stud you are using compliments your bitch.

Beetle is a real mummy’s boy! He has the loveliest temperament and totally adores Andrea. Andrea takes him everywhere – he is one of the most versatile dogs you could have. Spending most of his time shooting with us, happy to be on a grouse moor or on a pheasant shoot – or just simply out beating. Fast and keen, but always in control. He has retired from trialling now and managed to get numerous awards in field trials in 8 second places.

We have used him extensively in our kennels on our bitches producing lots of great puppies – of all colours. He carries a heavy black and tan line which is so pretty! Sometimes producing liver and tan, see Oakes. Lots of people like to come and use Beetle because of his smaller size and has a lovely way with first time bitches.

Beetles stud fee is £500 and a four-generation pedigree will be provided. We complete a stud dog contract with you and require cash or bank transfer payment upon first tie. Pick of litter considered for suitable bitches and to be discussed during visit.

I’d like to think we are experts at helping first time breeders as sometimes it can be difficult understanding the process. Alongside this, we can provide information regarding breeding and how best to look after your bitch moving forwards.
