Labrador Retriever licensed breeder in Whiting Bay | Jennifer McFaull

Full Description

My husband John & I are hobby breeders. For over 16 years, our puppies have been bred from Kennel Club, FCI and AKC registered show line quality labradors retrievers. Health testing is of paramount importance to us, both parents will have been fully tested including, Hips / Elbows, Eyes and DNA tests, prior to breeding to ensure no genetic diseases have been passed onto their puppies. Do your research and understand "Hereditary Clear" does not define as the direct parents of your potential puppy have 'both' been tested. One parent can be a carrier of a disease, however the other parent must be "Clear" from that same disease or a percentage of their puppies will be affected. Diseases do skip generations this is why 'both' parents need to be tested for diseases prior to mating. All of our breeding labradors prior to mating, get DNA tested by EMBARK, whom automatically tests for every canine disease available at the time, currently over 270 genetic conditions.

Labradors only come in 3 colours: yellow, black and chocolate. Ensure your labrador puppy is pure bred, by seeing original documentation that both parents are "Clear" from the D-locus Dilute gene. World wide animal pedigree standards such as FCI, AMK and the U.K. Kennel Club, only recognise 3 colours for a Labrador retriever. The only way to ensure your Labrador is a pure bred is to to see the DNA results from both parents - or to test your puppy.

Completing all relevant health testing of both parents prior to mating is essential for the life long health of all puppies, especially going to a pet home.

We became KC assured breeders in 2017. And, in 2021, Scotland put into Law, any person who breeds 3 or more litters a year must be licensed. We have a Facebook & Instagram page where you can see all our dogs over the past 13 years. Many people who have adopted puppies from us have also shared photos and videos and write testimonials on our social media of their labradors life long progress. Some of our puppies have stayed on the island, others live throughout the UK, Europe and USA, majority keep in touch with us, some even come back for their holidays to visit us here on Arran.

If you are certain you are ready for a puppy and can provide life long care, please contact us to discuss either a puppy from this current litter or the potential of a future puppy.
